My friend Kent and I were the best of ski buds when we were little. My dad was a ski patroller, so he'd take us most weekends. Kent was an only child whose parents were a bit indulgent, so they took us the other weekends, to stay in hotels at ski resorts. A good mix of free and expensive recreation!
This is probably in 1969 or 70 or thereabouts. Winter Park's changed a helluva lot since then. (PS: just got email from Kent saying that it had to be Spring of 69; he broke his leg a couple weeks after this thanks to "those stupid cable bindings" and got better gear the following winter!)
